Nov. Event Postponedadministrator
It is with great regret that we must cancel the November flying event. The board and executive officers waited to see the directives of the Office of the Governor today. With the restrictions that go into effect on Monday, it would be outside good judgement to continue with this weekends event. We have worked hard this year on innovative processes which have been a benchmark for the rest of the balloon community to follow. We are proud of the hard work and incredible solutions created this year. Unfortunately with the State and our Nation facing an unprecedented uptick in COVID-19 cases, we must take precautions the limit our members from the ravages of this disease. There has been no prohibition on individuals flying their own personal aircraft, but this is a time for us all to be stewards of our community. We hope you all are maintaining your physical and mental resilience in these trying times, but know you have a community that supports you. Our extended balloon family is our number one priority, and with these precautions, I hope we will be back in the air together soon. I hope all of you will join us for our upcoming board meeting to see our end of year plans. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me at your convenience.
