Congratulations Shane Shipman First Place February Top Gun
Congratulations go out to Shane Shipman for placing first in Top Gun’s February flying event. Pilots had 4 tasks to complete, and Shane scored 1,000 points on two targets, a 998, and a 797. Following Shane in close second place was Natasha Stanke. John Wilson finished third. We had 16 pilots registered and 12 who flew. The winds were variable with lots of steerage, and choosing a launch location was a challenge for many with surface winds constantly shifting. Our Event Director, Trent Caldwell, called a 3D Shape task that required not only a good strategy to fly, but technical awareness as well.
