Top Gun August 2026 Update
Your current Board is
President – Elisa Talbert
Vice President – Natasha Stanke
Secretary – Chris Garcia
Treasurer – Peg Billson
Directors – Dave Bagley, John Wilson, Gerry Palmer, Keith Takach and we
have one open Director position (please let me know if you are
interested)
Board meetings will be held on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 6:30pm.
The Board is going to continue to work on putting on competition events
each month vs shortening to a bi monthly schedule. We are going to
revert back to a Saturday/Sunday alternating schedule in the hope that
members will be encouraged to have the third weekend (except when in
conflict with National events) on their calendars and we can have more
opportunities for members to come out and fly on their preferred weekend
day. Saturday events will happen on even numbered months and Sunday
events will happen on odd numbered months. In addition we are going to
continue to put on two day events so please get the following 2026 dates
on your calendars now. Finally, we will also be accepting sign-ins at
the door so you do not need to register ahead of time just show up the
morning of the event ready to fly.
Remaining 2026 competition dates

In discussion right now are two important items for which we would
welcome and encourage member feedback.
Cancelling the change which was made to our flying year as having the
Board change over and annual meeting fall in line with RGC and
summertime rallies has added an unforeseen level of difficulty and lack
of membership participation.
Removing RGC from our annual flying year overall scores. This was part
of the reasoning behind the change in the flying year and at this time
the Board feels this might be best as a stand alone event.
As always Top Gun is here to improve all of our flying skills, encourage
friendly competition and work to prepare those members that wish to
participate at higher national levels of competition. The club is here
for you, our members, but as with anything it can only give back to you
as much as you put into it and participation is key.
